Argo Travel Group’s long tradition in designing and introducing innovative services and products was commended upon by the Hellenic Association of Travel and Tourist Agents at the Annual General Assembly held at King George Hotel on March 27, 2019.
Mr. George Fytilis, Group Director, and Mr. Stratis Voursoukis, Group Director of Sales and Marketing, proudly received on behalf of Traces of Greece – Argo’s new dedicated Cultural and Religious Tourism Department – the 1st Prize for “Most Innovative Promotion of New Services” for 2019.
The Prize was presented by Mr. Lyssandros Tsilides, President FedHATTA, and awarded by Mrs. Georgia Karastathis, General Secretary of Tourism, Greek Ministry of Tourism, who praised Argo’s outstanding effort to further establish Greece as a leading cultural and religious tourism destination worldwide.
Traces of Greece is the brainchild of the collaboration between one of Greece’s leading Travel Organizations, Argo Travel Group, and the country’s biggest, oldest and highest internationally ranked university, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA).
249 years of combined academic and professional experience have culminated in 8 accredited thematic Short Courses especially designed for the international academic community (students, researchers and faculty members), and 8 featured vacations to meet the high standards of culturally and religiously desirous tourists.
All Courses and featured vacations draw from five millennia of Greek cultural and religious heritage, are carefully designed and presented by world-acclaimed NKUA Professors, and crucially offer unique on- and off-site experiences to participants.
Traces of Greece was also represented at the event by Mr. Pantelis Spagis, Sales and Operation Manager.
